Delivering Food Donations to WNY Pantries & Kitchens since 1989
Food Shuttle of Western New York, Inc. was organized to help alleviate hunger in our community. It is an all-volunteer program that serves as a link between the sources of surplus food and the locations where it is needed most. The Food Shuttle operates 7 days a week, 358 days a year.
There is an on-going need for new sources of donated food and more volunteer drivers. There are also volunteer opportunities for clerical and telephone duties performed from home. Any business with excess food to donate or anyone wishing to volunteer to drive donations to their destinations can contact us to arrange for pickups.
You too can bring food to the needy citizens who live in Buffalo NY and surrounding areas.
Today, we are incorporated in the State of New York, enjoy an IRS 501(c)(3) designation and we are non-sectarian. Our Federal EIN Number is: 22-3020044. Food Shuttle has always been and remains today an ALL VOLUNTEER organization. As of 2023 we have about 200 people involved in our enterprise. We have no parent or sponsoring agency and no dedicated source of funding. We do accept donations, grants and service awards to pay
our operating expenses.
A Steering Committee of Officers, Coordinators and Supporters is at the core of the operation and supervises the management of the program.
